A Sea of Nothing
It’s hard to see
Positive without the negative
Because how long
Can happiness keep you afloat?
Until others drag you back
Into the dark depths
Some might say
“Just keep swimming,
Just keep swimming.”
To get you over your problems
But after all the swimming
You find yourself in a sea
Of nothing
With no way to land
Unless you sink to the sandy bottom
Or you might get lucky enough
To have someone rescue you
But how long can you wait?
Before your air runs out
The light fades from your eyes
Your last scream is unheard
You don’t see the light anymore
