I Won't Forget You
She fell on her knees in front of his door
She cradled the knife in her chest,
Laying in a pool of her blood.
But he found her there.
He dropped to his knees and took her in his arms.
He cried, but said,
Don't you worry. It will all be better. It'll be alright. I won't leave you.
I won't leave you.
I won't let you go.
Don't you worry,
I won't leave you.
His tears fell on her cheek,
He kissed her lips.
It will all be better.
He promised her,
I won't leave you.
I'm not going to let you go.
He held her in his arms.
He told her he loved her.
She could only say,
I love you.
I won't leave you.
I won't let you go.
I'm not going to go.
But her breaths grew ragged,
Her body cold.
A three word phrase died on her lips,
With her.
He cried for her soul.
He sang to the world about his pain.
And he promised,
I won't forget you.
