Pretend Time
My heart starts racing and my hands start shaking.
I can’t stand this happiness that we’ve been staging.
The honesty starts becoming too honest and your promise,
To love me always unconditionally is lies and additionally,
You’re supposed to hold me when I cry and not say bye,
To the relationship we’ve created off love not to be hated.
You say we can “work this out” but I’m living with doubt,
On how were going to make this work, but you’ll just smirk,
And reply with a cool line in front of your bros, and I suppose,
I gotta take the good with the bad, ill let you be mad.
And ill pretend I’m okay, with every hurtful word you say.
