Anchor
Someone ties an anchor to my heart
already heavy from sorrow and defeat
I surrender to the weight
as if trilled guilty with no escape
I drag it along the ocean floor
leaving blood stains in the sand
although I seem to make no progress
and the vermillion tainted sand is already swept away
leaving no sign of a struggler in it’s midst
no further can I go until I find a safe place
to hide my frail and shriveled anatomy
I hide under a blackened rock
that shall remain forever in one dark place,
and I think:
this is loneliness.
