Lonely Street Corner
I sat alone with my thoughts of her
Thrown to the side like a worthless cur,
The place I sit is cold and dreary
My poor heart is getting weary,
I believed the stories and the lies
Now your heart rejoices well mine cries,
I sit alone on the corner of lost hope and heart break
Left alone with the choices we make,
Love left me with a storm in my mind
I thought you were what I was looking to find,
You left me here with the pen and book
I think of the heart you took,
I miss you like the spring rain
But I have no way to heal my pain,
I beg for love here with my sign
I look for hope in this life of mine,
I sit here dreaming of you,
My only comfort is what i do.
I talk to people and beg for change,
Sitting alone its rather strange,
I send my prayers to up above,
Holding a sign, "Will Write for Love"
