Innocence Lost
Life was beautiful,
Way back then-
It seemed as though
It'd never end.
But then we grew older,
Who knows when-
Our eyes were opened
I wish it would end.
Why were they opened,
Our innocence lost?
The past is the past,
But what is the cost?
