Unworthy
The ways that I love you,
For they can be counted on one’s fingers,
Does not mean they are unworthy.
One does not need to know
How you are my Beloved
Companion. Or how I would love thee
More after death, if God permit.
For the ways that I love thee,
Cannot be compared to thy Holy God
Nor faith. But to the glory of life,
The flutter of a young’s eye.
On one hand, I am able to count.
On one finger, I am able to show -
That I love thee with all that I am,
For all I do, bears your name in soul.
Behold, the way that I love thee.
