Welcome to a celebration of truth, beauty, freedom, and above all things, love.~Moulin Rouge!

Every person has a mask; you have to look beyond the mask to see the person~Unknown

Reality is a lovely place, but I wouldn't want to live there. ~Adam Young

Do you know what it’s like,
To be in my shoes each day,
To enjoy whatever it is I do,
And fear what I fear, too

No, you don’t, do you?
Your eyes can’t see through mine,
No, I’m not kidding you,
Trust me, I mean what I say

So I’ll say I’m afraid of losing you,
Because you’re my life, my breath,
And falling down isn’t worth it
If I can’t get back up to your face

You’re my motivation,
To get angry and protect you,
To be wild and fight for you,
You’re the light in my night sky

You’re the shelter I rest under,
When the day is dark, and in your shadows,
I don’t feel the stones others throw,
But feel everything in my love for you

You’re the one I touch just to make sure you’re mine,
And that you’re still breathing and alive,
If you want to leave me in this world alone,
Then I’m prepared to come after you

And if I end up being replaced,
By something more beautiful and perfect,
And far more flawless than I could ever be,
Then I will be destroyed forever

Honey, you can bring me up and take me down,
And you always exercise this power over me,
Almost without knowing it, you do,
And it hurts me ten times as much as it does you

It’s like I’m in orbit around you all,
Your happiness is connected to mine,
In ways I can’t describe,
I just know and think and feel it every day

Just as I know it would destroy me if anything happened to you,
Because I can’t lose you, and never in all my days,
Do I want you to be gone from my world,
It’ll hurt much worse than never seeing you again

You’re the one who’s too much for me to handle,
Am I even good enough for you,
No, of course not, I never will be,
Never, ever for any of you

And even though I’m not good,
There’s a permanent mark on you,
Identical to the one you left on me, dear,
One that can’t be washed away by water or wear

It’s the mark of love,
You’re a part of me now,
Not my physical being, maybe,
But forever in my heart and soul

I love you, sweethearts,
More than my own life,
Because without you,
I wouldn’t have much to live for

The "you" in this poem is actually multiple people. It's everyone I love from my parents to my friends to my boyfriend to others in my life that make my world go 'round.
