Winter Forever
I was given gloves against winter cold
But really that has done nothing
To warm my forever freezing hands
Winter forever holds them
Much like my hands
My heart too is cold
So full of anger and regret
That not much else can save me from
Winter forever will be
A time of deep depression for me
No matter how many fires
No matter how many hugs
I’ve been left out in the cold
Alone and freezing for a long time now
And my only way back inside
Has been taken by this winter that will hold me forever
