My Crutch
You don’t judge me.
I can do anything in front of you,
And you will be there for me at
The end of the day.
I can leave you out in the cold (but not the heat)
When I don’t want you.
But as soon as I need you again,
You’re awaiting my return.
I can cry while making contact,
with you, through my lips.
I can laugh and accidentally
spit all over you,
And you say nothing.
Although we do not communicate verbally,
There is a strong connection I feel orally.
When we kiss, your cold body sends
Shivers down my spine, and gives me
Goosebumps,
Often freezing my brain, and I do not know
What to do or say.
We share intimate moments,
Curled up on the couch watching
Stupid Lifetime movies, or horrible Syfy movies.
You spoil me, ruin me, make me feel so
Vulnerable.
Spooning you during those last few moments
Before falling asleep
Thank you Ben, thank you Jerry,
Thanks to that fuzzy blue-colored bunny.
Thank you Breyer’s, and Haagen Dasz,
And you too Klondikes, for when I’m
Feeling especially...daring.
