Forgiving You
Forgive and forget. They're two separate words and they should be kept just that. Separate. Forgiving is easy, but forgiving is not. You've hurt me too much caused too much damage to forget. But I forgave you before you committed the crimes. You used to yell, used to scream. I prefer that to the silence, to the carelessness. You lied and hurt me denying me happiness. This I forgave but I'll never forget. I remember it all well, It's the way my life has turned out. And that I'll accept. Now it's just a memory resting in my mind, because I'm gone. But you left long ago. Forgive don't forget, it's all I have left.
