Unbreakable
When I look into your eyes, I feel the chains of my heart pull on something that I wish was still there.
And the silence that binds us reminds me that our love was far from fair.
Every breath that you so carefully breathe gives hint to a love that once was.
I want so badly to unlock what you feel but I'm just not strong enough.
And you have everyone believing that you're unbreakable,
But I can see past your act into a boy that I barely got to know.
I try so hard to let go of you but my dreams won't let me be.
And when I see into your real soul, I hear you silently begging me not to leave.
I am only hurting myself, but I'm learning that my heart loves to bleed.
I know that all you want to be is forever intertwined.
Stop denying yourself, you know your hand belongs in mine.
Sometimes I think that this bridge, our bridge, has too badly been burned.
But I'd swim one thousand miles just to see the light in your eyes return.
