The Missed Opportunity

All he could think about was her. He thought he made the right decision but was he sure?
The one that got away…whatever you say.
He was sorry as could be how did he not see?
Their love could have grown but how could he have known?
He said bye and now there’s nothing to do but cry.
He’s left with squat and he’ll never know if it was meant to be or not.
He can’t move onto something new; he lingers on what to do.
