Enough For All Things
Pools of white watery tears,
Each drop salted with a wound,
Collecting at the base of her steady eyes
The color of which reminds her of her other life.
There are needs so deep one can not describe.
There is pain so intense it numbs the bite.
Her skin porcelain against the fresh purple-ish blue
(However) She will not die tonight.
She focuses her gaze into his eyes.
He must know she intends to fight.
All traces of warmth erase as his pupils dilate,
Humanity replaced by demon-like contortions;
She has seen this evil before.
Her power card of silence is in play...
She lets herself look beyond the scene and past the day.
Her body has never been her own - today is just the same.
What she wants is to remain in control of her soul,
Show no expression feel no connections.
Her body quivers at the roughness of his touch,
Her head spins in a silly world of prayer
And her lips express her deepest cry......
Please.
As the intensity and anger build she reassures herself of a coming peace -
There's a ringing in her ears, an abrupt end and a cold emptiness invades.
Maybe she deserves this, maybe she invites it, but one thing is for sure, she will survive it.
As the days pass her mask of stone is in place.
His eyes are always on her, no expression can he gain.
He finds her when she is barely alone to remind her of who's in control
And whether he hides it or flashes his knife no aid comes to save,
For truly humans are blind even while standing in light.
She has no fear of death,
No longing for earth.
Childhood taught her worthlessness way before this
And God taught her truth.
On bended knee she begs and pleads life's burdens will ease-
She seeks God's face and strength once again.
No one here may see her, but He promised to hear her.
As she confronts her tormentor head on she is shielded;
A little lonely this world will always be
Short spurts of happiness
Pain filled memories of the past.
Stories that make others turn away
Moments of weakness and doubt will color the pages,
But each battle she will win, for she does not belong to this world;
Her hope is in the Redeemer of all things
Her home in the heavens
And no evil can take that.
He is hers and She is His
And that is enough for all things.
