Alone
Two against one,
I am alone.
Defending myself
I am not afraid.
Brave and alone
head bowed at the
crackling grass of winter,
I go.
Not followed,
I know that I'll be
alone.
Why bother with acquaintances,
I will just end up alone.
The bleak hours of daylight,
slowly dwindling.
The sun on my back,
the only one that cares enough
to watch me go.
