I Tell Her
I tell her to reach,
Reach for the sky.
Just live your life
Don’t let it pass by.
She responds, “What
What if I drop?”
I say, “It doesn’t matter
Just don’t ever stop.”
I tell her to shoot,
Shoot for the stars.
Become a farmer
Fly to Mars!
She says this time,
“What if I miss?”
I say, “Keep Shooting
Until you finally hit.”
Soon though she learns
To hold her head high,
Throw her arms up, and
Let her hands feel the sky.
As she grows up
I tell her the same
So she keeps shooting arrows
‘Til she gets the right aim
She never stops trying
To reach her dreams
Because she knows one day
She will succeed
