Waiting to be filled up
When you broke my heart, I fell apart.
I was an empty cup, waiting to be filled up.
There was nothing but grey skies, and pain in my eyes.
I tried to hide the pain inside, and I don't think anyone noticed.
Did you know you broke my heart?
Did you notice when I fell apart?
I'm over it now, but I don't know how.
it hurts sometimes when I think of the old times, when I was under your spell.
But your spell was hell, and now I'm over it, wishing you well.
But sometimes, I still feel the pain, and everything inside me, every muscle, every vein, remembers what it felt like when you broke my heart, and I was just an empty cup, waiting to be filled up.
