old ink
a vacancy of the deepest blue sleeps outside my window.
quiet and gentle, lit with the light of moon and nothing more.
shillouttes of branches outstretch like mother's arms.
wind chimes, whirling through metal mazes
and comfort, like the warm security of your touch, settles upon me.
my mind mingles with freedom,
prospering within the infinite night
like the stars they cling to,
my dreams, they are bright and they dance.
this is a sensation long forgotten.
