Sandboxes & Pinky Promises
We tilt our heads back and laugh
like it'll never be our last.
And we pave the streets with our converse like this town will never be part of our past.
We'll hug our mommy's and daddy's,
remember when they seemed so tall?
And we'll sneak into their beds after nightmares, wishing we were still small.
We talk about our futures like they're so far away.
And we still sit in the sandbox and giggle while we play.
So lets grab our shades, feel the sun on our skin, and walk these streets like we'll never get enough.
Let's pinky promise,
Let's cross our hearts,
Let's make a pact...
To never grow up.
