Pineapple
I waited for you to become ripe
to release your self from the rough tree you were growing on for so long
but it held on to you and then it dropped you without warning
the perfect pineapple you are is no more: you hit the ground and got hurt
I tried to catch you, but now you’re hurt and you’re sour
and I am sad cause I wanted to taste your sweetness but you were to bruised and gross
then unaware to me when I left you, you had put on a mask covering up what was wrong
I was unaware of your insidious ways because you were hiding the mushiness that you are
I picked you up a little confused but still believing my eyes,
and so I brought you with me to my place where it was just me, and you wasted my time
when I cut you open your mask came off and the sour mushy pineapple was shown
your beauty is gone and you have torn my eyes and feelings up and it is no more
but something about your pricks attracts me and I’m in a cycle of confusion and I cant leave
you were so great and your going to be once again: the rough tree you once were one with
it has grown a new pineapple and you cant attach yourself again its over but you wont leave it
you cant forget and the feelings that I had are now remembered and your beautiful again
your my pineapple and I adore you in ways words cant express or capture how i want you.
