The Mirror
I look at you through this cracked mirror. The one I smashed just yesterday, hoping I would never have to look into it again. But I do, I force myself to look just one last time. But it won't be the last time. I look into the mirror and see myself for what I really am. The mirror is the only thing that tells me the truth. I've been told countless times that I'm pretty, or gorgeous. But the mirror tells me who I really am. Ugly. Warn out. Tortured. Everyone just expects too much. I'm not perfect, I never was. As I pull of the mask I look into the mirror, and see the real me again. Still the same. Because my mirror doesn't see flesh, it sees into my soul, and my broken heart. That's the only mirror I look into.
