Love Who You Are
He handed you a gift,
He gave you a light.
You better take it with joy
Even if you aren't satisfied.
Perfect or not,
It shines only for you.
So cherish the moments you've got
And enjoy what you do.
Along with it came,
A little rule book for you.
With simple instructions,
That you must abide to.
Don’t give away your light,
Or let it fade or die.
Don’t make it too bright,
From too much excess pride.
Don’t under exaggerate,
On the size of your treasure.
Don’t lessen it's value,
Or you’ll lose it forever.
Don’t brag about its beauty,
Or bend it around
To make it into something
That will make others proud.
Your light is for you,
Please don’t change it at all.
Learn to love what you have
And enjoy who you are.
