My color
Blue is the color of calm
Yet the color of sadness
Deep blue is the unknown of night
And the joy of early morning
The color of many an eye
Of water bottle wrappers
Of sapphire and turquoise
And the hotter part of a fire
Veins, Gatorade, contacts, and jeans
Bluebirds, daffodils, first-place awards
The wire to diffuse a bomb
Army uniforms, hair bleach, Grand Prix cigarettes
Cinderella's gown, mint gum, cold water knobs
Mystery, mellowness, some shadows
Blue, azul, is rooted deep in my heart
My color
