Imagine
Imagine
He wonders,
worries
That he won’t
Ever see the
Magic
It’s a sad thing,
Seeing his
imagination and creativity
Squandered by
testing
And
work
Until you fear
There’s nothing left
His eyes close
As he wills
It to come
To see what
She does.
His sister racing far
Ahead, immersed in
The world she
Created for
Herself
An old
abandoned
Tree house
Becomes a
castle
Squirrels and birds
Transform
Into
monsters
They must be
Slayed
With a sword
That once looked
Like a pen
Imagination
Broke through,
The boy laughs,
Relieved
That
Everything around changed
Into
magic
and
Wonder.
