The Ocean
The cool ocean water laps at my ankles as I walk foreword shakily. The sun warms my face, I notice how beautiful my view is. I'm happy for a moment, reconsidering my options. Then it's gone, leaving just as soon as it came. I go back to my task. By now the water is up to my waist. Soon realization of what I was about to do hits me, and I turn to leave. But not before a massive wave envelopes me. I struggle with the water, but only for a moment, then I let it take over. This is what I wanted. Or was it? Before I can answer myself, blackness forms at the edge of my vision, until at last that envelopes me,, just as the water did.
