I Stood Here, Once
I stood here once, in a dream before
As breath poured through my lips
And in this dream, a nightmare soared
It’s horror, through my soul did tear
I passed this dream in subconscious bliss
Forgetting until now
The terror which my consciousness did miss
And my subconscious mind did avow
As I stand here, now, remembering
What my mind had forgot
The moments flutter by unnoticeably
Until I stumble upon a thought
Then suddenly, the thought does come
As I reach further into my mind
And I grasp the thought with all my might
Until voracity threatens to drive me blind
