Dirty Wings-Found Poem
I’ll confess with the lights out
To the living proof
That will always steal a smile
I scratched till I bled
I know it’s wrong
But I love myself now
I don’t have a gun
Still I don’t regret a thing
I want you to be
Understanding and accepting
I can say I don’t care
Pretend I don’t mind
In truth I want you to smother me
I’m afraid
I’m scared
But I’m so happy because I love you
Gotta find a way to show you
These dirty wings that make me so ugly
If love is blind then this’ll be easy
You are my known memory
You caught me off guard
So let’s have the finest day
What the hell am I trying to say?
