The Keyboard
I want to cry when I hit the backspace button.
The dark, oily, spot from where it's worn constantly reminds me I'm a failure.
How often do you hit the backspace button?
You leave it untouched and the vowels on the keyboard have etched their presence into your brain.
You memorize what I need to know and you accomplish things I never even knew accomplish-able.
You pull your weight and pay your bills.
I burden them with my existence, with my vocals, opinions.
Every youngest feels this way, but does every oldest feel superiority?
Or is that just you?
