Day Dreams
The sky wide open
A full shade of blue
Not a cloud in sight.
The field filled with
Caterpillars and wild flowers
That reach waist high.
I allow my fingers to flow
Over the top of the tall weeds
Tickling the palm of each hand.
The birds flying overhead
Screaming out for their loved ones
Feeding the animate worm to her babies.
Each drop of water that flows
Through the rocky bottoms
To the musical stream that rings my ears.
The bright green leaves
From the tall Oak Tree
Slowly and Silently fall to the still ground.
Here I stand
Miles and Miles away
From Everything.
The beauty here shows itself
I can’t help but wonder
If I were actually here.
