Tiger, tiger, burning bright,
In the forest of the night,
Hey, I wonder, ‘exactly why
Tiger doesn’t bawl or cry,
Tiger, Tiger, burning bright
In the forest of the night,
Tiger, stalking with perfection,
Having radiant complexion
Tiger, Tiger, burning bright
In the forest of the night,
I wonder what caught that tiger on fire.
In his eyes, there’s gleaming ire.
Tiger, Tiger, burning bright
In the forest of the night,
Brilliant coat is unaffected,
By the fire this poet invented
Tiger, Tiger, burning bright,
In the forest of the night,
Though some call this beast infernal
In this Tiger
Hope’s eternal.
