Being In Love
Maybe I’m just seventeen
But that doesn’t mean I haven’t seen
The one who makes me smile
Or who makes my heart race a mile
Maybe it won’t last
And maybe it’s all happening too fast
But love breaks down fences
And makes you lose all of your good senses
Maybe I’m thinking too much
About love, and life, and friends and such
But this life I live is full of love
And if you give it a push, it might give you a shove
Maybe I should sit down and give it some thought
But what’s the point to a losing battle when you are giving it all you’ve got?
I’m young after all has been said and done
What’s the point of life if you can’t have any fun?
Maybe I should just let it all go
To free fall and not compete against the flow
To hold hands, and dance, and kiss
Love is in my pocket, and this is something I’m not going to miss
