All the Fellow Farm Folk
That day on the top of the horizon line in the midst of the pink-blue hue
I fell down a gauntlet and dreamt up a sing-song that some of you might know.
It goes
“Oh my darlin’, come down now
Come down from the attic.
Sit and eat this pie with me
And someday we’ll be gone.”
And so I sang it around the town to all the fellow farm folk.
They knew what I was about.
