Am I?
Am I weaker than you?
Unable, unwilling to step away,
Colder and colder my case grows,
While together we spring new roses from the Earth
Am I a fighter or a hater?
It seems that it depends on you,
Because while I’m willing to fight to the death for you,
My mind just can’t grasp rising against you
Am I going to be a complainer or a doer?
My breaths, like everyone else, are numbered,
So why do I still waste my oxygen,
Whining about the things I will not change myself?
Am I choosing to give in?
By doing what you want so easily,
Do I set my will up for self-destruction,
Upheld by your desires rather than my own?
Am I turning my concerns into the fire?
I once though Hell would not be enough to torch them,
But you don’t burn anything,
No, in your hands, everything melts (February 2012)
