Why I am here, I know not; where I shall go, it is useless to enquire. In the midst of myriads of the living and the dead worlds, stars, and infinity why should I be anxious of an atom?<br /> -Lord Byron

Here I am, staring at the wall
The quietness quelled so,
I can hear the buzzing of fluorescent lights pulsing overhead
My fingers gently brushing against my skin,
And the heavy grace like rhythm of drumming movement from outside the lofty window,
Into another world, lonely and gray.
Oh don’t think of it!
Appeased and wondrous is my mind on that of a gray day!
But how I have been longing for the dream like Alice in wonderland to come take me away
Into my place biking to the fields, book under arm to lay down her head and find herself dead?
No, only slightly falling for many a long moment all the while furniture and homes passing the underground tunnel.
The rabbit hole! So much so she finds her mind wandering from whispers of yesteryear to dreamlands of anywhere, anytime
Perhaps even in a clock shop! Or a room filled with hats, with wondrous hats lining the shelves dusty, waiting.
But until then, stretching out my legs against the cold plastic of the sink I’ll dream another dream of dreary clouds deserting streets
Brought along by thoughts in oncoming fleets
