Dear Man Of My Dreams
I want to go on a date with you,
I want to hold your hand.
I want to feel your lips against mine,
As we lie barefoot in the sand.
I want to lick ice-cream off of your chin,
I want to go star-gazing.
I want to memorize the shape of your eyes,
While you show me the world is amazing.
I want to race through empty fields,
I want to take a drive to nowhere.
I want to charm you with my eyes,
As we fight off every nightmare.
I want you to hold me under the stars,
I want to have a perfect kiss.
I want to take a stroll through central park,
While you serenade me with bliss.
I want to sing a duet with you,
I want to dance in the rain.
I want to watch obscure films,
As we color a world that’s mundane.
I want to have a cliche movie romance,
I want to buy a hammock we can share.
I want you to think I’m beautiful,
While I run my fingers through your hair.
I want you to love my quirky habits,
I want to chase your dreams.
I want to have you by my side,
As we bypass all the seams.
I want you to love me with all of your heart,
I want you to know that I care.
I want everything to go as planned,
While we live out our live-long affair.
