Eight Hours.
Do I count them in my sleep?
Eight Hours
Of memories I so rarely keep.

I drift off.
I die for half the night.
I drift off
Under the protection of my night-light.

A dream.
Sometimes beautiful and full of laughs.
A dream.
Sometimes full of walking down all the wrong paths.

Eight hours.
My mind decides my fate.
Eight hours
Unless I'm staying up late.
