The TV is talking to the screaming teapot
They're conversing about the stereo who won't shut up
And the radio who can't control its volume
The DVD player is dancing to the music of the singing iPod
The iron is steaming, the toaster is burning
The microwave is beeping and the oven
is roasting
The curling iron is hot, the lights are blinding
The faucet is crying, the tub overflowing
The fridge is freezing, the freezer is broken
The computer is a know-it-all and the iPad is whining
The phone is ringing, the alarm clock is chiming
The kitchen clock is ticking, the living room clock tocking
The foot massager is growling, the stove is on fire
The sprinkler is on his break, smoking out back
But the smoke detector is sleeping, oblivious
The truck in the garage is complaining that he has gas
The remote control car moaning
Because someone else is controlling his mind
The PS3 and Xbox are competing with the gameboy
They are all obsessed with winning
The heating pad is sweating and the air conditioner is chilly
Even the dog's collar is shocking
Everyone hates the remote, it's controlling
The doorbell is annoying, the CD player is ancient
The dishwasher is a neat freak and the washing machine is a mess
The dryer doesn't care at all, the thermometer is undecided
The thunder is booming, the lightning is sharp
The power is out
The noises have stopped, the distractions disappeared
What are we to do now?
Wait, what's this? A book?
What is a book?
