We watch her fall
Icy wings turn black
He was there when she landed
Only he can send her back
She must escape the pain
But only he can end it
He holds the power
But he knows this not
She cannot wait
The loss is too great
And as she fades
She leaves her trace
Upon his heart and upon his mind
She is forever lost in time
So now he cries
Longing for her
He pleads to dark skies
But she now is gone
He’s set her free
Not knowing how great the price would be
But now that she’s gone
He cannot see her face
Her loss hurts like fire in his skin
And now darkness may creep within
Poison killing the good inside of him
But he moves on and lives right
He fights for his soul and his life
He loves her although she is gone
Because he will see her later on
He was there when she fell
And now as she ascends to heaven he wishes her well
