Reborn
How easy life would be
If I could just take all those pills
Pop one or two
Or five or ten
And write my living will
I’d fly through outer space
I’d ride a unicorn
I’d count to three
And make my wish
And wait to be reborn
How much sorrow can one take
Until they learn to appreciate
The situation that bounds them
And the help that will surround them
Before they wake and it’s too late
Who’s to say that there’s no cure
For all the s*** we must endure
From falling off our thrones
Being coerced to atone
To earn the title of “mature”
Is the key to having power
Not waste the idle hour
Or have we really just been fed productive lies?
To stomach this would be a dream
To enjoy it doesn’t even seem
Like something that would join us with the wise
Is it under that we go?
Or is above the way?
We skip and turn
And never learn
That being here’s okay
