At First I Was Afraid
We’d dance swiftly; neither of us neat
First it would be me, then it would his turn to step on my feet.
We’d realize fast, didn’t work to great,
So we would slow down, making me smile at our fate.
As we dipped and swayed;
I felt my fear and tenseness fade
I lay my head in the crook of his neck
He sighed
