Liar.
His familiar voice burst through the room
My happiness faded, leaving me as an empty cocoon
The way he stood with such a smile
Left me speechless all the while
My brain sketched down every aspect
From what he wore to his nod of respect
For the girl who was his now
Gushing red while he took his bow
They began to dance and dance
And my tortured eyes watched the romance
It was something we had that was lost
Yet I was the one who paid the cost
Everyday drags on and on
Unfamiliar to me like an unknown song
As I watched you walk away
I knew there was nothing I could say
Yet for you everything is fine
Simply because you were never truly mine
