What if the rain is simply teardrops?
The stars hang above us
Watching all of our actions
Our words
Our fights.
They see us hurt each other and make our friends cry.
They see us judge each other as we question why.
How can our struggles not move them?
How can our sorrow not make them cry?
What if the rain is simply teardrops
Created by the sadness of the stars?
What if the wind is their sighs
As they look at us from afar?
What if lightening is anger-
The stars lashing out in rage?
Their emotions have poured out for centuries
As they live from age to age.
