I vow to shine, like a sapphire, some gem!
I promise, not to whine, but smile till the end.
The symphony of my life
like a violin I will play,
I would vouch,
Vehement to my life I lay.

Stares,

a lad in faded blue jeans,

at a shoe store,

glowing with flourescent lights.

Wonders,

if he could get one too?

Enchanted,

at the prospect,

he rushes home,

his walking sticks,

tic-tac-ing all the way!

The main idea that was lying behind was the perception of a poor handicapped boy, and since had no legs, he never had worn any shoes. And then he sees a shoe store and gets too excited to purchase the beauties, keeping his unfortunate behind. :)
Thank you so much for reviewing. It helps to know that the reader read to the very last word. Ty! :D

Interesting. Short and sweet. Very unique. I don't really understand what's going on, but in poetry, the reader's supposed to interpret that themselves. That makes it hard to judge on clarity. You did a good job, though!
