We walk all over you,
never taking notice of your importance.
All our excess baggage in life
is thrust upon you,
and you take it without a word.
We expect you to just be there,
something stable.
Something constant.
We are careless with you.
We drop things on you.
We hit you.
In all sense, we abuse you.
And yet, you are always there
to hold us up.
Thank you for catching me
when I fall.
Thank you for helping me
to get back up.
