Paint Our Love Pink
I asked a survivor what it meant,
To wear the colors of love called pink,
To paint our hearts with light,
We mixed red and white, for a color so bright
And then it came to me
Why our love for you was planted in pink
What better color, would show such sophistication, Love, or Femininity
Then the one we’ve placed
Right here, with a hand across our hearts
We look to you with admiration
For that color you bear is strong but soft
Beautiful but mystifying
Feminine yet versatile
Quiet but Loud in statement
For when they find the cure for you
Our love for pink will forever be with you
Pink be the color that we’ve made just for you
Breast Cancer Survivors-
We Paint our love for you with Pink
