It is a gift
It means I can feel other things
Not just something I believed a myth

The way you broke my heart
It caused only a tremor of pain
What caused it to get stronger
Is how you vowed to never speak to me again

I really needed to talk to you

For I just lost my oldest sister
Something that’ll a while to move on from

And about burning a bible
I would never in my life do that ever
I carry one in my bag now
For my connection with Him, for a while, was severed

I respect my family’s Catholic faith
