I do not understand
what he had ingested that night
or what may have
fueled him
but he called me in a fit of anger
screaming about my
inappropriate use of technology
and I was in the middle of my favorite past time
when it vibrated on my back
and I struggled to remain calm
then hung up
you stared at me
wondering what id been told
but my throat was cinched
and I was yet again
unable to speak
so you scooped me in your arms
