Are you trying to convince me
or yourself
that these confessions are real
i have heard such words
so much theyve become a habit
your voice: a culture
i beat drums in my chest
adorn my best clothing
move heavily to beats
shower me with fruits
let this grow plentiful
i know not if your words have certainty
