That moment,
when you see someone you thought you couldn't love,
your stomach does a little flip,
your heart beats a little faster.
and you know it's not over.
At least not for you.
Those dreams,
Where your with him,
you wake in tears.
And you wish you meant something,
to some body else.
You know it's not over,
not for you,
not for him.
Forgive me dear,
can you help me understand it?
I messed this up,
you look at me,
you see my life,
and all you say is
"One day at a time, with you by my side. I'm unstoppable."
It was never over.
