Drifting in a dark lightless place
Where there is nothing but that cruel eerie silence.
The unwelcoming cold grants open arms.
Hoping for an end but the end doesn’t exist.
To look over yourself with confused eyes.

To see in the distance a pair of white eyes.
Disappeared like evaporated mist in this cruel lightless place.
Questioning do I exist?
The whispers of nothing linger in the air for there is nothing but silence
Neverending fall that leaves me lost.
The darkness wrapped around me like a mother arms.

The warm embrace replaced with cold silent arms.
To remember happy times with my own eyes
is fading like smoke forever lost.
Looking back to what brought me to this place.
Searching for answers in this familiar silence.
Hoping to find answers that don’t even exist.

To find out I don’t exist.
The harsh realization envelops me like open arms.
Looking in this desolate area of silence.
The darkness became a new vision for my eyes.
The lonely feeling of no one in this place.
The feeling of scared turns to lost.

Hoping to find a way out of this place that has been lost.
To find out that an exit doesn’t exist.
To think about life and the meaning of this place.
It would be comforting to feel warm arms.
From long ways ahead a tiny light appears before my eyes.
But there is still that silence.

As I drift closer the sound of people talk breaks the silence.
Not feeling lost.
I began to see things with my eyes.
To truly think that I exist.
Then there is a touch of warm arms.
What is this place?

I wrote this poem because it explains that even though there are times when things are bad there is always ways that let you out.
